The Super Bowl is one of the most watched television programs of the year. Instead of watching the big game alone, you can celebrate it by throwing a Super Bowl party. Super Bowl parties are usually a huge success and if you want people to remember yours, then you can follow this list of ideas and look for a few things you can implement into your party when the Super Bowl rolls around.
Jerseys
Have everybody wear their favorite sports jerseys. If people do not own jerseys, then make it simple for them by having a jersey decorating station. Set up white T-shirts and have a collection of fabric glitter glue that the people can use to decorate their own jerseys with custom numbers and sayings.
Super Bowl Grid
Host a Super Bowl grid pool. Have people fill their names in on a 100-square Super Bowl pool and then assign the numbers 0-9 around the left and top of the grid. Award prizes to participants after each quarter by matching the last digit of each team score to the grid winner (see resources below).
Food
One of the biggest parts of a Super Bowl party is the food. Keep things simple for yourself and avoid cooking as much as possible. Offer a lot of finger snacks like chips, pretzels and vegetable trays. For the big meal, order out and get something like a 6-foot sub, pizza or other foods that can be consumed in large quantities.
Televisions
Watching the game is one of the key parts, so make sure you have plenty of visuals for everyone to enjoy. Set-up multiple televisions in the most common rooms that people will be located in. Spread the televisions out so that people can view the game at multiple sides and arrange the seating as comfortably as possible.
Entertainment
If the game is a bust, you should have other entertainment to keep guests occupied. Some common ideas include a small game of poker, darts, billiards or a board game. Keep all of these handy and available to the guests at all times.
