Luau Party Food Ideas

luau party food ideas :
Hosting themed parties can be a lot of fun. There are plenty of ideas you can use for drinks to give a luau party that tropical theme. Food can be a little trickier, though. Remember, when hosting a party you don't want to spend the entire party either inside cooking or cooking over the grill outdoors. Choosing items that can cook quickly, or that you can prepare ahead of time, can save you a lot of time and allow you to spend more time with your guests.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs as an Appetizer

Sweet and sour meatballs are very easy to make. You can even purchase the small appetizer size meatballs from your local grocery store or warehouse shopping club. Cook these in a sauce made from apricot, grape or orange preserves to give them a nice fruity flavor.

Grilled Kebabs

Kebabs are an easy-to-eat meal at luau parties. They also give you a lot of options as the host. You can marinate your meats in different barbecue sauces, or marinade sauces and then put them on skewers and cook them on the grill. With pieces of meat on skewers being small and having more surface areas exposed to the heat of the grill, they cook quickly.

Fruit Salad

Fruit salad is a healthy item to serve at your luau party and also adds to the theme of the islands. Prepare a fruit salad with pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, honeydew, oranges, banana, apples and any other fruits you wish. Keep in mind that adding some lemon juice over fruits such as the apple and banana will keep them from turning brown quickly when exposed to the air for an extended period of time at your party.

S'mores

For your luau, finish the evening with an old fashioned s'more preparation. Give everyone skewers and let them roast their marshmallows over the grill, or if you have a bonfire, that is an option as well. For smaller scale and safer cooking, considering using sternos placed outside to cook your marshmallows over. Give each guest graham crackers and chocolate squares to place their marshmallows on to make their outdoor dessert treat.

Beer Masters on Facebook
Site Manager - Shannon The extent at which I like beer may border on the ridiculous, but I have always felt that the people who love beer for all the right reasons are the kind of people we need more of in this world.

I want to make beermasters.com a portal for beer enthusiasts and experts from around the world. This is a place to share experiences, favorite beer recipes and pubs and to learn all there is to learn about the art of making and enjoying beer. Think of this place as the best neighborhood pub ever...sure I can't pour you anything from a tap, but as soon as someone invents that star trek food making thing, we will all get hilarious together.

and it will be awesome.
