How to Decorate for a Dance Party

Overview

how decorate dance party : Overview :
Turn your next teen get-together into a dance party. Get your teen involved in the decorating and decision-making on what music to play, what food and beverages to serve and who to invite. Even more fun is to decorate around a theme such as disco, the 50s, hip-hop, etc. Everyone can dress up and you can serve food and beverages to represent that era.

Step 1

Choose a dance area. Consider how much space you will need. Move furniture out of a living room or use a garage or a backyard.

Step 2

Create a fun atmosphere with the proper lighting. Consider using a color scheme for the party and then change all the lightbulbs in the room to colored bulbs such as red, blue or green.

Step 3

Use strings of small white lights to create a festive feel. Hang the lights around window and door frames. Create a canopy with strings of lights hung crisscross across the ceiling; attach with thumbtacks or adhesive putty. Be sure the lights are secure so they don't fall down.

Step 4

Set up your music in one corner. Use a CD player and CDs. Choose the type of music you want. If you have a theme, choose music according to your theme. Also consider using your teen's favorite music. A karaoke machine is a fun alternative or can be used in between dances.

Step 5

Set up a refreshment area. Include plenty of seating. Cover one or two tables with tablecloths add finger foods such as chips, cut-up vegetables, fruit kabobs and dips and salsa. Include desserts such as cookies, brownies and cupcakes. Place napkins and small plates on the table. Set a garbage can at one end of the table.

Step 6

Fill a large galvanized container with ice. Place bottles of juice, sodas and water into the ice. Set at each end of the refreshment table. Have straws available and a recycling can if nearby.

Beer Masters on Facebook
Site Manager - Shannon The extent at which I like beer may border on the ridiculous, but I have always felt that the people who love beer for all the right reasons are the kind of people we need more of in this world.

I want to make beermasters.com a portal for beer enthusiasts and experts from around the world. This is a place to share experiences, favorite beer recipes and pubs and to learn all there is to learn about the art of making and enjoying beer. Think of this place as the best neighborhood pub ever...sure I can't pour you anything from a tap, but as soon as someone invents that star trek food making thing, we will all get hilarious together.

and it will be awesome.
